The Fruit and Vegetable Co-Operative is a group of people who pool their time, resources and buying power together to purchase good quality fresh fruits and vegetables at a low cost. They purchase in bulk and save money.• Ujamaa~Cooperative Economics & Sharing • They also learn more about food nutrition and preparation from one another. Working cooperatively with each other and sharing the responsibility for the work involved, helps build a stronger community.
When you purchase a Co-Op you are agreeing to these rules:
1.
Co-Op members should arrive by 9am, to unload the van; separate/weigh fruits and vegetables into bags.
2.
Fruit & Vegetable and/or Fruit Only Co-Op’s are to be paid for in advance by the following ways:

Mailed payments must be received no later than Wednesday, the week of Co-Op (do not mail cash).
Check or cash payments made in person are due no later than Friday 3:00 pm, the day before Co-Op.

You pay an additional $5.00 the day of Co-Op if you did not pre-pay by Friday 3:00 pm the day before Co-Op.
4.
ELDERS ARE EXEMPT FROM ” UJIMA” AND ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES

Co-Op’s picked up after 11am will be charged $2.00 extra per Co-Op for boxing.
6.
Co-Op’s not picked up by 12pm will be sold or given to a senior citizen and your money will not be refunded.
7.
If paying by check or mail please provide a current State ID/TDL#, Exp. Date, DOB and phone number.
8.
Please bring containers (two large boxes etc.) for Fruit and Vegetable Co-Op’s only.
9.
Clean-up is appreciated after everyone has received their Co-Op. • Ujima~Collective Work & Responsibility •
